The Water highlights Zucker's relationship to the ocean over the last several years. This work is comprised of both commissioned work and personal images. The bulk of The Water was shot on and around City Island, with a few images peppered in from Newport, Iceland, and the Caribbean Sea.
Ben Zucker is an American portrait photographer. His photography primarily focuses on the relationship between people and their spaces. Ben was born in Rhode Island in 1989, and raised in Upstate New York. After exploring the American west, he settled in New York City in 2007. For the last several years Ben has lived on City Island in The Bronx. With his wife, house rabbits, and dog they have carved out a life on this small Bronx island. When Ben is outside of the studio you might find him exploring a dusty back road, high in the mountains, or in a boat on the sea. Some of Ben’s clients include: The New York Times, ABC, The Guardian, Der Spiegel, The New Yorker, Monocle, and Oakley.
