Gentle, atmospheric moods are central in Heike Neumeister's art where she uses subtle colors and contrasts emerging from nuanced tones of white. Her recent mixed media compositions were inspired during many evenings at the shore or on the waters of City Island. Heike was born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany and lives in the US since 1990. Her lifelong passions are the sciences and the arts, she holds a Ph.D. in biology and currently works at Hunter College. Most recently she exhibited in Germany including the Galerie Artlantis in Stuttgart (formerly known as Galerie Müller by Hans-Jürgen Müller), in the Galerieverein Leonberg, and in the historic castle Gallery Schrade at the foothills of the Alps.
